There’s something endlessly romantic about weddings that happen at home — especially when that home carries generations of love and Southern charm. Abby and Hunter’s wedding day at her grandparents’ white farmhouse was the perfect blend of intimacy, elegance, and heartfelt celebration.

Abby and Hunter reached out to me earlier this year about photographing their wedding on October 4, 2025. We quickly scheduled an engagement portrait session at Goose Creek State Park in NC. I'll include a few images from the amazing session we had, but keep scrolling to see how the wedding day played out as well!!! It was the best way to celebrate their engagement! These two are kind, fun, and so meant to be!

From the moment guests arrived on their gorgeous wedding day, they were greeted with classic Southern hospitality and scenery that felt straight out of a storybook. The day unfolded in the wide green yard beside the open field, where a white gazebo served as the ceremony backdrop. The soft blue, white, and green palette tied every detail together beautifully — from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the delicate florals that framed the aisle. Each detail was refined yet effortless, perfectly reflecting Abby’s vision of Southern elegance and timeless romance.

Abby looked stunning in her gown — classic, graceful, and every bit the Southern bride. Hunter stood waiting under the gazebo with the calmest smile, the kind that only comes when you know you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. As she walked toward him, sunlight glowed through the trees, casting that golden, late-afternoon light that photographers dream of. It was the kind of ceremony that felt both deeply personal and breathtakingly cinematic.

After the “I dos,” the newlyweds celebrated surrounded by family, laughter, and the peaceful hum of a Carolina evening. But perhaps the most unforgettable part of the day came just before sunset, when Abby and Hunter slipped away for portraits along the farmhouse driveway. The light turned golden and warm, wrapping them in that unmistakable Southern glow. We brought out an antique chair from the house — a small, sentimental touch that made the portraits feel even more meaningful. Every frame looked like it belonged in a magazine: timeless, refined, and filled with joy. My jaw DROPPED even seeing these photos on my camera screen.

It’s always the little things that make a wedding day truly special — the quiet moments, the heirloom details, and the love that feels right at home. You could easily see that the most important thing to our bride and groom was being around the people they love. They cherish these moments together. Abby and Hunter’s celebration was all of that and more: a picture of classic Southern grace and a story that will be cherished for generations.

To Mr. and Mrs. Forrest — may your marriage always feel as warm and beautiful as this day beneath the Carolina sun. It's been an honor working with you!!!
